Information on privacy (Legislative Decree n. 196 of June, 30th, 2003, art. 13)

Personal data collected will be used by Ius publicum for all purposes related, instrumental and necessary for the project which include particularly:
a. sending regular communications and updates on new contents of the website
b. information and advertisement initiatives related to the scope of the network;
c. disclosure of information to third parties that perform functions necessary or instrumental to the project;
d. collection of data and information on guidelines and preferences of users.
 
The consent to the elaboration of personal data for the purposes set out in paragraphs a), b) and c) is a necessary condition for the provision of related services.
The data processing is done using automatic tools to store, manage and transmit the data in order to ensure their security and confidentiality.
Specific security measures are taken to prevent data loss, misuse or improper and unauthorized access, including the https secure protocol for some internal sections and applications and the protection against unauthorized access to servers and other computers in use.
Data are collected particularly during the filling of the registration forms by interested users (or indicated in communications with Ius publicum to request information material or other communications, e.g. the management of personal requests for information on the services offered by Ius publicum).
The optional, explicit and voluntary e-mailing to the addresses listed on this website or through forms of communication or recording, involves the collection of the sender’s e-mail address in order to answer to requests, as well as the collection of any other personal data included in the communication sent for the same purposes.
The personal data provided by users who register or send requests to obtain dispatching of information (newsletter, issues, periodical communication…) are used to the only aim of delivering the service requested and they are communicated to third persons appointed by the Director only if strictly necessary to that aim (and with the consent of the interested user).
 
The computer systems and software operating this website acquire, during their normal functioning, some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the communication protocols of Internet.
This information is not collected to associate them to specific individuals, but could, because of their very nature, through processing and association with data held by third parties, identify users.
This category of data includes IP addresses or domain names of computers used by users to surf the website, URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) of the resources required, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in reply, the numerical code indicating the status of the response from the server (successful, error, etc..) and other parameters regarding the operating system and the users ICT tools.
These data are used only to obtain anonymous statistical information about the website and to check its proper operation (see also the section on Cookies). The data could be used by competent authorities to assess liability in the event of hypothetical computer offences or crimes against the website.
Personal data provided voluntarily by users can be handled.
 
Cookie policy
The use of the so called session cookies (which are not permanently stored on your computer and disappear when the browser is closed) is strictly limited to transmitting session identifiers (consisting of random numbers generated by the server) necessary to enable a safe and efficient website surfing and its applications.
The so called session cookies used on this website avoid the use of other technologies that could compromise the privacy of the users and they do not allow the acquisition of users’ personal identification data.
This website uses some systems that analyze user navigation statistics on visits in order to create or to improve the supply of content and to positioning, where appropriate, targeted advertising on web pages.
The systems used are Omniture SiteCatalyst ®, ShinyStat ™, WebTrends and Google Analytics, the latter being a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google "). Google Analytics, as other systems, uses "cookies", which are text files that are stored on your computer to help the website analyze how users use the website. The information generated by cookies on the use of the website by you (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for the operators of this website and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also deliver this information to third parties when required to do so by law or when such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, but this may not enable you to use the full functionality of this website. By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above. Similar tools, tough not identical, are used by systems such as Omniture, SiteCatalyst and Webtrends.
Cookies are not used for dispatching personal information, nor the website does not use previous cookies of any kind, or systems for tracing users. Please note that you can set your internet browser software mode (eg Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, Chrome) in order to do not accept cookies by activating the so-called anonymous surfing, and, in that case, no data will be treated through these systems.
 
The data will be stored by the director of Ius publicum, Prof. Roberto Cavallo Perin, and treated by staff on his behalf or others charged with occasional maintenance operations. Sensitive data will not be treated, neither directly nor indirectly. Treatments related to the services of this website take place in the premises of the Director as and of the web server farm Aruba SpA, located in Piazza Garibaldi 8 - 52010 Soci (AR).
 
Under Article 7 of Legislative Decree no. 196/03, you have the right to obtain confirmation of the existence of personal data concerning you, even if not yet recorded, and to obtain their communication in intelligible form.
You ahve the right to know:
a) the origin of personal data;
b) the logic, purpose and methods of treatment;
c) the identity of the owner, manager and the designated representative;
d) the persons or classes of persons to whom the data may be communicated or who can know them as an appointed representative in the State, manager or agent;
You have the right to obtain:
a) updating, rectification or integration of data;
b) deleting, anonymization or blocking of data processed unlawfully, including data whose retention is unnecessary for the purposes for which the data were collected or subsequently processed;
c) certification that the operations in letters a) and b) have been notified, also as regards their contents, to those to whom the data were communicated or disseminated, unless this requirement is impossible or involves a manifestly disproportionate use of resources as regards the protected right.
4. You have the right to oppose, in whole or in part:
a) for legitimate reasons, the processing of personal data, pertinent to the purpose of collection;
b) the processing of personal data for sending advertising materials, for direct selling, for carrying out market surveys or for commercial communications.
